Oyedoyin Babade is a seasoned GRC (governance, risk, and compliance) professional and lawyer with an MBA from the University of Liverpool. She has multi-sector experience having worked in top Fortune 500 multinationals in the following industries: Banking & Finance, Healthcare & Pharmaceuticals, and FMCG (Fast Moving Consumer Goods) primarily in Emerging Markets in Africa, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.
In the last 21 years, Oyedoyin has undertaken senior/director roles in Compliance & Ethics, Legal, Risk Management, Internal Control, organisational development and effectiveness, strategic planning and budgeting, change management, project and programme management.
As a compliance professional, Oyedoyin has been responsible for providing GRC support to key markets in the areas of legal compliance matters, including but not limited to financial crime (including anti-bribery, corruption, fraud, sanctions risk, anti-counterfeit risk, and tax evasion), anti money laundering controls, environmental risks, modern slavery and other third-party risks, conflicts of interest, and other identified legal compliance risk areas.
She has led compliance monitoring and testing risk assessments to monitor and test the adequacy of entity's compliance control environment. Oyedoyin has also provided internal teams with pre-, during, and post-audit support to help identify and mitigate vulnerabilities using corrective and preventative measures.
